David & Lorraine met while attending  graduate school in Charlotte, NC.  They have been married for 36 years.  David and Lorriane have been a part of the business community in Easley, Pickens County for the past 18 years and provided employment opportunities to many families in the area.  David has a gifted talent to restore and preserve homes, buildings, etc.  The Pecan Terrace Inn was established in 1905 and in 2016 David came across this diamond in the rough!

After hearing that the Inn was being prepared for the city to have it removed, David Cox desired to preserve this part of Easley history.   Their passion for history and this new found treasure led them on the journey to restore the Pecan Terrace.   Using their many talents in renovations and decorating, the Pecan Terrace has regained its magnificence and majestic beauty.

Family traditions are important to the Cox’s.  The “Rosie” Dining Room and the Ludie Sitting Room have been named after Lorraine’s grandmothers.   David and Lorraine have two children, Kristina and Jordan, a son-in-law, Jon and one awesome granddaughter, Hanna!

Their dream of creating a bed and breakfast, love of family and history has finally come to fruition!
